FedEx, UPS and USPS Release Holiday Ship-By Dates
Due to supply chain challenges, cost-cutting plans and memories of 2020’s challenges, the U.S. Postal Service, FedEx and UPS have released recommended ship-by dates to ensure deliveries reach their destinations by the holiday.The three providers have released schedules for the last day to ship, depending on the service, for packages to arrive to their recipients by December 25. Their domestic schedules are:
FedEx
- December 9: FedEx Ground Economy and FedEx Freight Economy
- December 15: FedEx Ground and Home Delivery Contiguous U.S., Alaska and Hawaii; and FedEx Freight Priority and Direct
- December 21: FedEx Express Saver and FedEx 3Day Freight
- December 22: 2Day & 2Day AM and FedEx 2Day Freight
- December 23: FO, PO, SO, Extra Hours and FedEx 1Day Freight
- December 24: FedEx Same Day
UPS (For December 24 delivery)
- Ground shipping, check the website for information.
- December 21: UPS 3 Day Select
- December 22: UPS 2nd Day Air services
- December 23: UPS Next Day Air services
- December 25: No pickup service, UPS holiday
USPS
- November 6: Retail ground service for Air/Army/Fleet/Diplomatic post office addresses
- December 9: Priority mail and first-class mail for Air/Army/Fleet/Diplomatic post office addresses
- December 15: USPS retail ground service
- December 16: Priority mail express military service
- December 17: First-class mail service (including holiday greeting cards) and first-class packages (up to 15.99 ounces); and Hawaii to/from mainland — priority mail and first-class mail
- December 18: Priority mail service and Alaska to/from Continental U.S. — first-class and priority mail
- December 21: Alaska to/from Continental U.S. and Hawaii to/from mainland — priority mail express
- December 23: Priority mail express service
